Satellite and Telecom

Satellite systems often require data acquisition front ends capable of digitizing an IF signal followed by a digital down conversion to baseband. Signal processing tasks include demodulation, decoding and extraction of a digital signal stream. Telcom applications involve data acquisition ranging from audio through RF, depending on the application, and often require algorithms for decoding, companding, echo cancellation, compression and decompression. Both fixed- and floating-point processors are deployed in these systems.
